Hello October. October Goals. ♥

Oh my goodness. I feel like I've been waiting for Autumn, forever, and it's finally here! For me, as soon as it hits October, it's officially Autumn. I cannot believe it's October already, it honestly feels like it was January like 2 weeks ago. This year is going so quickly. I find myself saying that so much as I get older, and I hate how fast the years are flying by. Life is SO short, which is why I've been trying to make the most of every single day, setting myself small challenges and really living life meaningfully. Last month, at the start of September, I really loved setting myself 5 goals for the month, to work on. I must say they were actually rather successful, albeit I missed a few work outs here and there just because of the craziness of the new house, and life getting in the way, but I tried my best, and I read SO many amazing books, which was another one of my goals! I also blogged throughout the whole of September, despite the craziness of buying a new home, the stress of work etc, which I'm rather proud of myself for, as it did get a little crazy, but I didn't just give up. I thought I'd write an Autumn inspired list of goals for October. Eeeek it's Autumn guys, from here on out it's literally the BEST time of year! ♥♥♥


♥ 1. Continue to read, every, single day - Over the past month I've absolutely LOVED spending some time out of my day, even if it's just a short time, reading! It's sort of like my escape, into a different world, and I love getting lost into a good book! I've really enjoyed reading Nicholas Sparks - See Me, which was a really beautiful novel. I managed to read that in just 2 days, because it was that good. Nicholas Sparks has always been one of my favourite authors. I'm currently reading Two by Two by him also, and I'm really enjoying that at the moment. I also enjoyed reading Charlotte Crosby's new autobiography, Brand New Me, yep, I'm a Geordie Shore fan, don't judge me, it's awful trashy TV, but I can't help but watch it. If you're a fan I totally recommend her new autobiography! Anyway, I really want to keep up with the tons of reading that I've been doing, even as things start to get a bit crazy as we move into the new house! I adore reading, and there's something so cosy about it, especially during the Autumn months. If you have any book recommendations, do leave them in the comments for me. It would be much appreciated :)


♥ 2. Enjoy and make the most of all the Autumn Cosininess: hot chocolates, cosy nights in, lighting all the candles - ahh how could I not include this as one of my goals? This is the craziest time of year, especially for work, and often as much as I adore this time of year, because it's the best, I forget to enjoy the little things. Like having a tasty hot chocolate, and allowing myself 5 minutes peace, lighting all of my Autumnal Candles, enjoying cosy nights in rather than working myself to death. I really want to go on more crisp, autumn walks, and enjoy all of the classic autumn traditions, that I adore, but struggle to make the time for!


♥ 3. Continue to work out, 3-4 times a week - I did slack a teeny bit when it came to working out last month, because things did get a little bit crazy. But I really want to try and stick to my target of working out 3-4 times a week, this month. I really do love working out, despite it being hard work, I always feel so amazing once I've completed a work out, and it really is a release for me, and sort of a stress coping mechanism. Even as the mornings get colder, and darker I must remind myself to drag myself out of bed, and get moving because it really is worth it! :)

♥ 4. Move into our new home - YES!!! October will be the month that we finally get to move into our new, dream home! It feels like we've been waiting absolutely AGES to move in, and I'm really excited for the next chapter in our lives. We still haven't finished all of the renovating as there is still so much to do, but we have to move out of our current property, as our buyer has been really lovely to us, and let us stay for as long as we'd like, plus the new house is liveable, despite the renovations, so we're ready to take the next step! It's really exciting but also really nerve-wracking. This is just an October goal in itself, to move into the new house, with as little stress as possible and make the most of every second, making memories we won't ever forget. I'm beyond excited! :)


♥ 5. Make time for myself, despite all of the craziness going on - So it's going to be yet another crazy month in my life, but I am really going to try and make a conscious effort, to not let things get to me, and stress me out too much. Whether it be work, or the new house, I'm just going to take each day as it comes and indulge in lots of self care, to keep myself grounded. I'm one of those people that worries about so much, so self care and taking time out for myself is really important for me. I want to schedule it in, make time for me, doing all the things I love, catching up with friends, blogging, spending time with family, sipping on hot chocolate and watching Jane the Virgin, reading, having lots of bubble baths! I think it's really important to make time for ourselves, so I'm going to follow my own advice this month, and do just that! :)


I hope you all have an amazing October! The best really is yet to come, and this is the most wonderful time of year. I love October through to December, it's full of all sorts of magic and fun!
