♥ L'oreal Pure Clay 'Glow' Mask - £7.99 - available here
♥ L'oreal Pure Clay 'Detox' Mask - £7.99 - available here

After seeing these two masks floating around the beauty bloggersphere and being given rave reviews, for sometime, I thought it was time for me to give them a go myself. I finally caved into the hype a few months ago, and I've been obsessed with using these gorgeous masks ever since. I purchase the L'oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask and L'oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask while they were both on offer in Boots. I've always been a great fan of clay masks, as clay is such a skin loving ingredient and can work wonders for your skin, so I was keen to see if these L'oreal Masks would make their mark! These masks are a complete bargain, as usually clay based masks can be on the pricey side. However you can snap these beauties up for as little as £7.99 in Boots, although they're often on offer, for £5.99 or under the 3 for 2 offer on skincare, so keep your eyes out for a bargain! Today I just had to share them with you, and reveal why they've become real staples in my skincare collection...

Ok so first things first, one thing I love about these masks is the packaging. For a high street brand, the packaging appears quite luxurious, in a heavy, thick glass jar. It looks so much more expsensive than it actually is. The masks are also a really lovely size at 50ml and the jars are really simple and easy enough to scoop out the right amount of product that you need.

There is no particular, overpowering scent to the masks. The best way I can describe the scents is fresh. There are definitely no harsh, skin irritating scents in these beauties and my sensitive skin didn't react badly to them, which is always a winner! However, I have quite a high tolerance to product scents, and I have read reviews of people complaining that the scent of the clay masks is too strong for them, but in my opinion, you can barely smell any scent at all.

With both masks, a little really does go a long way, so use sparingly and you'll find that the cute, glass jars will last you ages!

Best of all, I haven't had any post-mask break outs! Something I sadly find far too often, when trialling and using face masks is that they are too rich and heavy for my skin, and they cause me to purge and break out rather badly! Luckily, I haven't had any break outs as a result of using these lovely masks, which is always great!

Anyway, now onto the individual mask reviews...

♥ L'oreal Pure Clay 'Glow' Mask - £7.99 - available here

This little beauty contains three pure clays, and is combined with the skin loving red algae extract which is known for it's brightening affects on the skin! It aims to transform dull, dry skin, as well as refine pores, and give a radiant, illuminating glow.

Best of all, this mask works as a face mask and facial exfoliator rolled into one, because of it's creamy, beaded texture. It contains small beads, that help to exfoliate the skin without causing dryness, tightness or irritation.

I simply apply this to cleansed skin, before moisturising, and leave on for approx 5-10 minutes. You can really feel the Glow Mask working it's wonders on your skin as you're applying. The beaded texture exfoliates, banishing dead skin cells, for a brighter look, and makes you feel pampered and refreshed. Once applied for 5-10 minutes, I simply rinse away the mask with warm water, although it's hardened there is no fuss rinsing the mask away, it simply melts away once warm water has been applied.

The results are amazing! Upon first application I noticed a big difference in my skin, not only was it incredibly soft and smooth, but it was glowing! I adore how radiant my skin looks after using this mask, over time I have noticed that my skin is brighter, smoother and just has an all round healthy glow. I'm so, so impressed! If you haven't tried the Glow Mask but you want to feel pampered, and your skin to look radiant and glowing from within - you need to try this!

♥ L'oreal Pure Clay 'Detox' Mask - £7.99 - available here

The L'oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask is made up of three skin loving clays that have been combined with the beauty blogger face mask favourite: charcoal! Charcoal masks are the talk of the beauty bloggersphere at the moment, they're hugely popular, and I can understand why! This little mask is fantastic! It aims to draw out excess Sebum, and absorb impurities, which is great if you suffer with breakouts as this mask tries to prevent the main culprit of spots! It is also rich in minerals, and aims to smooth out imperfections, and blemishes, before making your complexion clearer.

The texture of the Clay Detox Mask is gorgeous, it's really creamy and smooth. It applies to your skin like a dream and simply glides onto the skin, with little effort required. The creamy texture of the mask aims to detoxify the skins surface, drawing out impurities and cleansing the pores without drying out the skin. I definitely agree - I was a little apprehensive upon first use, as I've used many Charcoal mask that can be drying, and cause dry, flaky skin or irritation, but thankfully, L'oreal have made a real winner with this Charcoal mask, it's not drying in the slightest, and does the job of detoxing your skin, perfectly!

I simply apply this to cleansed skin, before moisturising, and leave on for approx 5-10 minutes. You can really feel the Detox mask working on your skin as you allow it to set and harden. Almost instantly you can feel a tingly sensation of your pores being deeply cleansed, and impurities being drawn out of your skin. It feels amazing! Once applied for 5-10 minutes, I simply rinse away the mask with warm water, although it's hardened there is no fuss rinsing the mask away, it simply melts away like a dream, once warm water has been applied to the mask.

I am so impressed with the results of using the Detox Mask! Upon first application, I felt so refreshed, and I noticed a huge difference in how my skin look and felt. Not only was it silky soft, but it looked really pure and clear! Over time, it has definitely made my skin appear more luminous, and it has allowed my skin to breathe. I've also noticed a difference in the amount of hormonal spots I've been getting, since I used this mask. They're kept to a minimum, and whenever I use this gorgeous mask, it takes care of my break out problems in just one use. It's the perfect treat for your skin - you have to try it!
