5 Make Up Bits I've Been Loving Lately. ♥

Wednesday, 19 July 2017

I don't know about you, but I've been really into experimenting a little bit more with my make up lately! I've been trying my best to use more of the lovely make up products that I've already got in my ever growing collection, rather than going out and spending money on make up that I don't need, and have a dupe of at home. Since 'Shopping My Stash', and really appreciating my make up collection, I've fallen in love recently with some old favourites, and some new make up products, that I just had to share with you all, because they're all pretty amazing...♥

♥ Essence Volume Stylist Curl & Hold 18 Hour Mascara* - £3 - available here

Ok, so let's talk about this amazing new mascara that I've been obsessed with using lately. I ran out of my favourite Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara, and decided to give this little beauty a try recently and I was so blown away! For just £3, this mascara needs to be in every, single one of your make up bags!!! It boasts of incredible lash curl, and up to 18 hours of lasting volume.

The wand is a fully loaded paddle brush, with long bristles on one side, and shorter ones on the opposite side. It keeps my lashes separated, and coats the mascara evenly, with no fuss, or problems and gives them that all important curl I've been lusting over. The formula is great, boasting of micro styling waxes that give extra hold, volume and curl. The texture of the mascara is creamy and wet and it coats the lashes perfectly giving you a dark, black, bold finish that really does last all, day long! It is a buildable mascara that you can keep applying to reach your desired finish, although I'd only recommend applying two coats of this onto your lashes, before it starts to look a tad clumpy. Personally, I find one coat enough to curl, enhance, volumise and lengthen my lashes and I don't feel the need to apply two coats, unless I'm going out in the evening, where I prefer a more dramatic look. I find that this mascara doesn't start to come off throughout the day, it says in place really nicely, and doesn't flake. It's survived the long 12 hour shifts at work, which is witchcraft, as even some high end mascaras don't do that well for me. I'm so impressed with it, and for just £3, I think I've found a really lovely, affordable mascara!
♥ Benefit Galifornia Blush - £24.50 - available here
♥ Full review here

I fell in love with this beautiful blush way back in Spring, but after trialling a few new blushes, and falling back in love with my beloved NARS Orgasm blush, I kinda, sorta forgot about this one and it slipped back into my make up drawer. After having a make up clear out, I spotted this little beauty, and fell back in love with the girly, 70's boho chic, inspired,  bright packaging! And once I caught a whiff of the swoon worthy, fruity and vanilla scent, I was hooked. Pigmentation is amazing, with just one swirl of this over the apples of your cheeks, you're given full, natural coverage, but if you prefer a brighter Coral look, this lovely stuff is buildable too, so you can reach your desired level of golden goddess! As with most Benefit products, the blush stays in place all day long, and I simply cannot fault it! I'm so glad I rediscovered this beauty, just in time for the gorgeous, summery weather as this little blush is basically Summer in a box, it gives me a healthy, golden, summery glow and makes me look and feel lovely! Benefit - you guys are amazing. Can we just take a moment to appreciate this blush?!

♥ Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lip Color in 'Pink Cloud*' and 'Tropical*' - £7.99 - available here

If you haven't tried these stunning Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lip Colors - you're seriously, seriously missing out! They're fast becoming my favourite lip products of all time, and I literally want to buy all 15 different shades, like...now. I mentioned the shade 'Tropical' in my Top 5 Summer Lipsticks blog post, a couple of weeks ago. I've been reaching for these lovely lip colours so much recently! The formula is super hydrating, and a dream to apply to your lips because of the creamy, smooth, soft, gel texture. It boasts of an ultra hydrating formula with hyaluronic acid!

♥ Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lip Color 'Tropical' - £7.99 - available here

Tropical (shown above) is a stunning, vibrant, and very bright, pink shade, with purple undertones! It screams all things Summer, and looks so lovely paired with a crisp white t-shirt, lots of bronzer and a good tan! It feels so comfortable and dreamy to wear on hot, summery days! Despite the amazing, hydrating formula, the lipstick is also seriously pigmented, see swatches below for that all important proof.

♥ Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lip Color 'Pink Cloud' - £7.99 - available here

The same goes for 'Pink Cloud' which is a pretty, natural rosy pink shade with complimenting bubblegum pink undertones. Although slightly more on the sheer side, 'Pink Cloud' is still amazingly pigmented and again is really lovely and comfortable to wear on the lips.

The lip colours smooth into my lips like a dream and the lasting power is insane! You'd think that because of the hydrating, smooth and moisturizing qualities of the formula, that the longevity of the lipstick would be lacking, but don't be fooled, these gorgeous lip colours leave a gorgeous, semi matte stain on your lips for at least 3-4 hours before having to reapply! The finish is beautiful, it's very similar to that of the MAC Cremesheen formula lipsticks, with a glossy finish, that gradually dries into a semi-matte look.

I adore that you can see the shade of the lip colour on the lipstick tubing - it's a really lovely touch! The precision tip also makes application a dream, it's fuss free and top ups on the go are even easier!

The scent of the Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lip Colors remind me of all things Summer, they're fruity, and sweet, with a mango and vanilla fragrance! Honestly, if you only try one product recommendation from me this month, it has to be these beauties! You'll love them, they combine the pigmentation and colour pay off a lipstick, with the comfort, application and hydration of a lipgloss/balm! Major key alert! *DJ Khaled voice*

♥  Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint & Precision Pencil - £10 - available here

Ok so I think I've found my holy grail eyebrow product. Hands down, the best I've tried for a really long time and the award goes to Soap & Glory's Archery Brow Tint & Precision Pencil. I'm sure most of you guys would have tried this over the years, but this is a fairly new product in my collection, now that I've fell in love with it, I'm not sure any other eyebrow product will ever compare to it!! It contains Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and Chamomile extract to help nourish and protect the skin, I mean who doesn't love to condition their brows? Duh? It's also available in two different shades: Love Is Blonde (for blondes) and Brownie Points (for brunettes), although despite being a blonde, I actually use the shade Brownie Points as I prefer it! Such a rebel right?

The product is a double ended pencil, on one end is a feathery ended tint, and on the other end is a defined crayon. The felt tip tint provides the qualities of an eyebrow tint, allowing you to use light, fine strokes to fill in any gaps in your brows, whereas the pencil end can be used to sketch out those fleeky brows and define them.

The product is so simple and easy to use, I can't get enough of it. The results are even better and are incredibly natural and long lasting. If I apply this in my morning, no matter the temperature, whether I'm in a pool, or even if I've had a shower, my brows aren't going anywhere...this product is THAT good. If you haven't tried this, and you want your brows to look amazing all day long, you need to give it a go!
