The BEST Beauty and Self Help Books You NEED. ♥

Wednesday, 29 March 2017

If you didn't know already, I'm the biggest bookworm. One of my favourite things to do, is cosy up and get lost in a good book. So when four of my favourite things collide: beauty, self help, fashion, and BOOKS I'm hooked. I've been obsessed with beauty, fashion and self help books for as long as I remember and though I've read these same books many times, I always find new tips and advice from them every time I pick them up and get lost into them. I know many of you guys are just as obsessed with reading and of course love a bit of beauty, fashion or self help in your lives too, so today I thought I would share my favourite and most helpful, and unique beauty, self help and fashion books with you all, that have inspired me in some way. In no particular order here are my lovely faves and ones that I would recommend to you all...

♥ 1. Eat Pretty Every Day by Jolene Hart £10.99 - the ultimate guide to self care, beauty, health and nutrition. I was eager to give this book a read when I spotted it's all kinds of pretty illustrations on Instagram. It's so pretty to look at but also super insightful and inspiring, giving you all kinds of helpful tips on how to glow mind, body and soul. I'd recommend this if you're into beauty, health and wellbeing and general self help/love. It's super easy to read and you can dip in and out of it when you're looking for fresh inspiration.

♥ 2. #GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso £6.99 - I still haven't finished reading all of this, but my, oh my, it's AMAZING and so inspiring! Who doesn't wanna be a Girl Boss for goodness sake? This book is packed full of informative, helpful and fabulous tips, advice and past experiences from the original Girl Boss herself Sophia Amoruso who is the founder of Nasty Gal. It's straight talking, no bull, ambitious and strong minded. Everything you need in your life. I found this book totally amazing when I was restarting my blog, and I would recommend it to every, single blogger as it so motivating, and full of inspiration from the very first page. It's just so sassy! If you want to be motivated to chase your dreams, build your own empire, start your own business and you're willing to work hard, give this a go -you won't regret it!

♥ 3. Pretty Honest - Sali Hughes £11.89 - the ultimate beauty companion in my opinion. If you're a beauty blogger, or you just adore beauty and make up, this is the book you NEED in your life, on your bedside or coffee table. I've dipped into this beauty many times, when I'm looking for sharp, passionate, warm, witty and helpful beauty advice. My copy of this is in the worst condition as it's been everywhere with me, and continues to do so. I'm just obsessed with Sali's writing style throughout this book, it's like you're speaking to your bestie, she's so to the point and honest, it's amazing. It's not full of the usual glossy, pretty photographs spread throughout many beauty books these days, it's full of helpful, interesting, unique advice and experiences that will continue to help you for many years to come. It's real beauty advice, for real women with tips that aren't hard to follow, or tricky to do. It deals with everything from skincare, to make up, to anti-ageing and teenage beauty. Try this, you honestly won't regret it.

♥ 4. Lauren Conrad - Beauty - £14.88  - Hands up if you were obsessed with The Hills? Me, me, me. Hands up if you had the biggest girl crush on Lauren Conrad and wanted to be her? Also, me, me, me. Where do I even start with this book? It's been out for YEARS, and has been a firm favourite of mine since the beginning. It's probably no surprise that this is one of my favourite beauty books, as it's raved about by many likeminded beauty bloggers and lovers. If you're a Lauren Conrad fan, and haven't read this, what are you doing with your life? Lauren shares her most favourite beauty advice, stories and secrets throughout this book from make up, and skincare, to hair and nutrition. I didn't really learn anything massively new, as she shares pretty basic tips and advice, but I love having it in my collection. If you aren't a fan of Lauren, or you're a teen or new beauty lover this would still be perfect for you as it's super informative, and well written, sharing some great tips and advice.

♥ 5. The Glam Guide - Fleur De Force £14.88 - I'm all for supporting fellow beauty bloggers and YouTubers, and though I'm not a huge fan of Fleur, I was interested in trying her beauty book for myself. I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful illustrations and pretty photographs throughout the book, and it's well written, informative writing style. Fleur shares some of her best beauty, fashion, love, fitness, self help and general advice throughout this book and again it feels like you're speaking to one of your closest friends. If you're looking to try out a beauty blogger or YouTuber's advice book, this would by far be my best recommendation. I've tried out many from Tanya Burr, Louise Pentland's (which is a close favourite and almost ended up in this post.) and also Fleur's other book The Luxe Life, but this one is the most useful, helpful, well written, pretty and interesting to date! The Glam Guide would suit all ages, and doesn't come across as childish, there are plenty of new tips that I have learnt in all kinds of areas including beauty, despite being a beauty blogger myself. It's just a really cute, little book that again you can dip in and out of whenever you need motivation, inspiration or advice.

♥ 6. Lauren Conrad - Style - £10.59 - Yes, all the heart eyed emojis for Lauren Conrad. But again my collection would simply not be the same without this book or LC in it. This book focuses solely on fashion, offering interesting, unique, helpful and cute fashion tips and advice from the beaut that is, LC. I've always loved Lauren's style and the way she effortlessly puts outfits together since her Laguna Beach days, so to have all of her best advice, tips and stories in a cute little book with lots of pretty and stunning photographs is perfect for me. Style is such a brilliant guide to building the perfect wardrobe, starting from your Basics, to statement pieces, Lauren discusses everything from t-shirts, to jewellery. The book covers everything you can think of, and if you are a fashion lover, it's a must to have in your collection!

Have a wonderful day! I hope you've enjoyed todays post. What are your favourite beauty, fashion or self help books that I need to try?

Is Nars Sheer Glow Worth The Hype? ♥

Sunday, 26 March 2017

♥ NARS Sheer Glow - £31 - available here

YES, YES, YES.  Should I give the answer to this post away that easily? I don't even care.  You've all probably heard of this infamous foundation, it's one that is thrown about the beauty bloggersphere and raved about by many beauty bloggers and YouTubers, often given Holy Grail status too.  It took me forever to cave into the hype and purchase this foundation, as I thought it would be one of those products, that are simply hyped up, because it's by a good brand. However NARS Sheer Glow is absolutely INSANE. I couldn't have been more wrong. I don't know how I lived without this foundation in my life for so long, it's sooooo worth the hype, and in my opinion, worth every, single penny! I thought it was about time I shared my favourite foundation, EVER, with you guys. Especially because I really enjoy writing rave reviews and reviews of products I'm obsessed with. It puts me in such a good mood aha. So here we go, here's why I think NARS Sheer Glow is worth the hype, hefty price tag and is just basically the best foundation, ever! (I've tried many foundations both high and low end, so believe me, that is a huuuge compliment.)

♥ NARS Sheer Glow - £31 - available here

♥ Pros -

Packaging - The packaging isn't really anything to rave about, it's rather simple and the foundation comes in a glass bottle, no pump sadly, more about that in the cons section below, however I really like when beauty products focus on the product itself rather than the packaging as it shows more money was spent to make the product amazing, rather than on the packaging. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a sucker for pretty packaging though!

Application - It's a dream to apply this foundation. I use my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply this beaut, it smooths and buffs into the skin effortlessly leaving me with the most gorgeous finish and with a perfect, even base.

Formula/Texture - the liquid formula has the silkiest, and most lightweight texture. It has the perfect in between runny and creamy consistency, which makes application a dream.  Although this foundation offers amazing coverage with insane lasting power, you cannot feel that you have this  foundation on at all. It allows your skin to breathe, without feeling clogged up or greasy, you cannot feel it 'sitting' on your skin, like with many other full coverage foundations.

Coverage - For me, good coverage is something that is essential in a foundation. I opt for foundations with coverage that is on the full side, because lets face it, if you want to wear a foundation, you want good coverage. NARS Sheer Glow ticks all the boxes coverage wise, offering divine coverage, easily! It covers blemishes, spots, uneven skin tone and pigmentation perfectly with just one coat, maintaining a natural finish, and leaving my skin looking healthy and flawless. Best of all, if you want more coverage, it's buildable and doesn't leave you with a cakey finish.

Finish - Ahh the finish. All the heart eyed emojis! NARS Sheer Glow offers a satin-matte finish. Although it's called NARS 'Sheer Glow' don't be fooled by the name, there isn't anything particularly glowy about this foundation, something which I was quite surprised about when I first tried it. I was expecting a really dewy, and glowy finish, but actually the finish is rather about the natural glow of your own skin, which despite the amazing coverage, manages to peep through leaving you looking flawless, natural, healthy and glowing from all the right areas!

Lasting Power - NARS you're bae when it comes to lasting power with this beaut. I can apply this in the morning at 6am, and with a powder touch up at lunch time (around 12pm) this foundation will last me through until 5-6pm with no movement, or build up. If you have any troublesome spots it's best to carry around a concealer with you in case you need top ups on the go, but depending on your skin tone you may not need it.

Shade Range - There are over 20 shade choices in the NARS Sheer Glow range which means there is a shade for all of us girls. I opt for the shade 'Deauville' and it's literally the colour of my skin, if not a hint darker just to add a bit of colour to my skin, so that I don't look ridiculously pale.  I'm really happy with my shade choice! If you're struggling to narrow the shade choices down, and there isn't a NARS counter near you, I find the website Findation really helpful, it compares other foundation shade choices to a foundation you're looking for, so that you get a shade that is really close to what you would usually use. I find it so accurate and have used it many times when I'm making a sneaky online Feel Unique purchase and you cannot swatch the foundations in person. It has never let me down. You can find that website here. You're welcome. :)

♥ NARS Sheer Glow - £31 - available here

♥ Cons -

No Pump - you have to purchase a pump separately, which actually drives me insane. How come I can buy a drug store foundation for a fiver and they supply you a pump, but this high end beaut won't make my life complete and give me a pump for free? NARS sort it out pls :)

SPF - sadly this foundation doesn't contain any SPF. It makes it perfect for flash photography but you will need extra SPF protection when wearing this beauty unfortunately.

Price Tag - This doesn't really count as a 'con' for me, just because I think the price tag is justified because of how amazing this foundation is. If you're on a budget I can totally understand the gasps, when you see how hefty the price tag is. Believe me, I'm a gal that loves a bargain, however if you can get a sample of this stuff, and try it for yourself, you won't regret it. I can assure you, you will be spending £31 on this foundation instantly and going into your overdraft with no thinking about whats for dinner this evening. You'll just need it in your life, no going back.

Dry Skin - I have combination skin, that is dry around my nose and eyerbows/forehead at times, and oily at the same time, especially in the t-zone. It's really hard for me to find a foundation that doesn't exaggerate my pores, or cling to dry areas. As much as I love NARS Sheer Glow,  I'm going to be honest and recommend that if you have really dry skin I would personally steer clear from using it, as my dry areas around my eyebrows hate this foundation, it clings to dry areas dramatically. On first application I was devastated. I overcome this now, by applying a fair amount of my trusty Body Shop Vitamin E Moisturiser (Read my skincare routine here) alongside NARS Sheer Glow,  and this combats the issue quite well and I don't experience the annoying clinginess as much as I used to.

So overall, I'm obsessed with NARS Sheer Glow, as with most beauty products there are pros and cons to this gorgeous stuff, but the pros will forever outweigh the cons, and I still continue to purchase this beautiful foundation, and it's irritating extra pump, every time I run out. Even if I try another foundation and love it for a while, NARS Sheer Glow will forever be my holy grail and the one I always run back to. I think I've found my foundation soulmate.

The Products You Need For a Flawless Face In 5 Minutes. ♥

Wednesday, 22 March 2017

We've all been there. You've either slept through your alarm 'accidentally', by hitting snooze continuously for around half an hour, or just thought...'screw it', I'll skip breakfast and have an extra 20 minutes in bed. I am deserving of that extra 20 mins, especially because I was still scrolling through Twitter at 3am last night. We've all experienced that morning rush, or the absolute dread of only having 20 minutes to get ready for that all important date, you've been raving about for weeks to all the girls at work. Girl, don't worry, I gotchu!! Today I thought I'd share the 6 make up products that are literally life savers, and help a girl out on a daily basis when I'm having that all too familiar feeling of running late. As long as you have 5 minutes, I promise these make up products will leave you looking FLAWLESS...

♥ 1. Foundation - NARS Sheer Glow - £31 - What can I say about this beauty? Well first off, I'm gonna keep it brief, as I have a full review of this incredible foundation coming on Sunday at 8am. But here is a little preview...this foundation offers everything. Honestly, no matter how many foundations I try and love, something always brings me back to this beauty. It's light, with insane coverage, it's long lasting and it has the most beautiful dewy finish. If you're in a rush and need a quick fix to cover any redness or blemishes and give you the 'natural look', this foundation is perfect for you! It's on the pricey side, but you only need the tiniest amount of this product to see beautiful results, the foundation itself lasts me around 6 months, even though I'm using it daily. It blends and buffs into my skin like a dream, with the help of my trusty Real Techniques Expert Face Brush here, meaning it is perfect when you're in a rush as you aren't blending until the end of time!

♥ 2. Concealer - Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - £4.19 - Enough said. All beauty bloggers, and I'm sure most beauty and make up enthusiasts will be familiar with this infamous concealer, it is constantly raved about from every YouTuber and blogger across the land, with great reason too. It's honestly amazing, it offers great coverage, with fab lasting power and best of all for the morning rush, it is also super blendable which makes it really convenient when you haven't got enough time to be fretting about blending your concealer in. This concealer leaves you with a lightweight, perfect finish, and amazing coverage, best of all it's under a fiver. Win, win!

♥ 3. Mascara - Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - £7.99 - Yet another raved about make up product. Do you see a theme here? Yep, the products everyone loves are the ones, that I am also obsessed with, and reach for in order to create that flawless face within 5 minutes. With just one coat of this gorgeous stuff, my lashes are instantly longer, curled, and much more volumised. It doesn't leave any annoying traces throughout the day, nor does it flake. It's incredibly long lasting, and makes my eyes look beaut. Best of all it only costs £7.99 and competes with every high end mascara I've ever tried. What more could you want?

♥ 4. Liquid Eyeliner - 'cos we all know a cat eye makes you look insane - Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner-  £6 - I know you're probably eye rolling for days right now. A cat eye within 5 minutes? Girl are you joking? No I'm certainly not! This liquid liner pen, by Soap & Glory makes a good old, classic cat eye, simple and easy. The fine tip of their pen, makes creating the perfect cat eye effortless, and the 'bold carbon black' pigmented shade makes the liner last all day long, making your eyes pop. I love this stuff, it's my go to, favourite liquid eyeliner. Trust me, I've tried many over the years and nothing beats this one, using it is effortless, no smudges, no fuss just pretty cat eyes!

♥ 5. Lipstick - MAC Peach Blossom - £15.50 - My all time favourite MAC lipstick, ever. This lipstick shade is simply stunning. It's that perfect 'my lips but better shade' that every girl needs in their collection. Just a swipe of this gorgeous stuff on the lips and I instantly look good to go, it makes my lips look gorgeous, adds a pop of natural colour, and smoothes onto the lips like a dream. The cremesheen formula couldn't make application any easier and the colour pay off is simply stunning, with long lasting results. The shade is a gorgeous light, rose, pink, peachy nude that would compliment most skin tones. Also how pretty is the shade name?

♥ 6. Blush - Benefit Dandelion Blush - £23.50 - Last but certainly not least, is my go to blush of the moment! I'm in love with this blush, it's the most perfect Spring shade ever. It's a stunning slightly shimmery, light, ballerina, rose pink, with a slight satin finish. The thing I love about this blush and why it helps create a quick, easy flawless face is because it's so effortless to apply, it also makes you look natural and is so long lasting. The formula is very lightweight, it blends into the skin beautifully, without looking powdery or highlighting any pores, it's subtle, yet noticeable at the same time, making you look healthy, and super pretty. It also lasts all day long without the need for any touch ups. I'm in love with this gorgeous stuff! It does however come with a hefty price tag, but honestly it's worth every penny and the box of this stuff has lasted me almost a year and I still haven't hit pan even though I use it almost daily! Full review, coming very soon!

I hope you've enjoyed todays post! Keep your eyes peeled for full beauty reviews of some of these beauties. What are your go to beauty and make up products that make you feel good and help you to look flawless, when you're trying to beat the morning rush or haven't got long to get ready?

25 Easy Ways To Practice Self Care and Love Every Single Day. ♥

Sunday, 19 March 2017

It's no secret by now just how important self love is. In recent years we've had the whole concept of self love shoved down our throats, and for all the right reasons too. Self love has been proven to have a huge impact on self esteem, confidence, wellbeing and general happiness. It's basically the best possible medicine you can give yourself! I feel like over the past year, I've really learned a lot about self love and so much about myself too. This past year has really been the year of 'like realising stuff' soz but I had to throw that Kylie Jenner thing in there, but seriously, it's been the year of growing up and learning a lot about myself. Along that journey of finding myself and learning to love who I truly am, although I'm still not 100% there, I've also learned quite a bit about self love and how to add tiny, easy snippets of self love into your everyday life to make you feel happier and better about yourself. Don't get me wrong the journey to true self discovery and love is a pretty long one, full of lots of hard work and obstacles but I just wanted to share the easy ways in which I practice self love and care every single, day! I hope you find them helpful. :)

♥ 1. Treat yourself like your 7 year old self/ child/best friend - if you wouldn't say something to them, don't say it to yourself. "Your face looks so spotty today." "Eurgh, you look so fat." "You cannot wear that, it looks awful." instead practice things you would say to a child/your best friend. "Be proud of yourself." "You're amazing." "You're beautiful", "Your hair looks gorgeous." etc, you get my drift. Be kinder to yourself.
♥ 2. Have a breakfast you enjoy, every, single day.

♥ 3. Take time to practice a good skincare routine every morning and every evening - you'll feel so good and your skin will thank you for it too, win, win.
♥ 4. Get your nails done every once in a while - this always makes me feel great and ready to challenge anything that comes my way.
♥ 5. Smile more often.
♥ 6. Indulge - eat the cake, life is way too short to eat shit food that doesn't make you feel good.
♥ 7. Light all the candles!
♥ 8. Book a massage - hot stone massages are my current favourite but any will do.

♥ 9. Have a social media break - enough said. This can be particularly difficult if you love social media and are part of the blogging world, but honestly it will do you the world of good. Don't let social media consume you.
♥ 10. Have a spa at home with all your favourite bath and beauty products - basically a bath full of Soap & Glory and LUSH. Yes please :) :) :)
♥ 11. Clean - the house, the car, the wardrobe. Whatever it is, cleaning can be a good way of letting go of stress and taking your mind off things.
♥ 12. Spend time with people that make you feel good and cut out the people who make you feel rubbish. Ain't nobody got time for toxic people.
♥ 13. Read - and I'm not talking your Twitter feed, or anything on a screen for that matter, read a good, old book!

♥ 14. Do something you love every day - even if it's snuggling up under a blanket with a hot chocolate and Netflix on the TV.
♥ 15. Don't compare - comparison is the thief of JOY.
♥ 16. Don't be so hard on yourself - you didn't complete all the things you had to do for the day, but promise yourself you'll try better next time and it's no big deal.

♥ 17. Make yourself a hot chocolate with lots of cream and marshmallows.
♥ 18. Drink enough water - the benefits of drinking water are insane and you'll feel SO good.
♥ 19. Try and rest and get a good nights sleep - I know it's not always possible but you'll feel the difference.
♥ 20. Play your favourite music L O U D - sing your worries away!
♥ 21. Don't save things for special occasions - every day is a special occasion, wear your favourite perfume, jewellery, clothing, shoes etc. Every day is so precious and often wearing something that is special always make you look and feel good.
♥ 22. Spend at least one day a month doing absolutely nothing!
♥ 23. Treat yo self. Life is way too short, buy the lipstick. I live by this motto way too often but it's so true.
♥ 24. Have 30 minutes to yourself with no interruptions every day - I know this can be difficult if you're a parent but try your best, even if it's less time you'll feel so much better for it.
♥ 25. Remind yourself every day, self love and care isn't optional, it's essential to being the best version of yourself.

and if all else fails. Hug puppies or stroke all the dogs. These two, fix e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g!

I'm really trying my best to devote 2017, to completely taking care of myself and loving myself for exactly who I am, as well as putting myself at the very top of my to do list and I've found these easy steps really helpful. Hope you guys have to. What do you do everyday to practice self love and care?

Hands up if you want to join the self love club?

How I Get Stuff Done and Stay Motivated. ♥

Wednesday, 1 March 2017

It's a new month, we're in March and before we know it we'll be starting a new week. Even though it's Hump Day I thought I'd share my tips and ways I get stuff done and stay motivated. We all love a productive week, where we get our sh#t together, and do everything that we need to get done, whether that be getting stuff done job wise, university, blog, or whatever. This shoe will fit someone. It certainly fits me over the past week. I've been procrastinating so bad, I've needed to get so much done work and blog wise but somehow I've managed to spend most of my evenings internet shopping, I bought this, this and these by the way how cute! Or I've spent hours on Pinterest, which always sucks me in. So yesterday evening, I thought, right, that's it. I'm getting sh#t done and I did a few things that helped me get it together and stay motivated. So I thought I'd share my tips and tricks with you guys!

1. Make lists - this is something that always motivates me. Whether it be lists written down in a notebook, or on my iPhone (something which I'm doing more often these days) to do lists work so well for me. I just love being able to visually see everything that I need to do, and it's the most satisfying feeling ever ticking or crossing out when you've done something! Another top tip I have for to do lists, is to prioritise in order of importance, so at the top of your to do list would be stuff you need to get done as soon as possible, and it would go down in order of least importance! By this I mean -

To Do List:
Pay phone bill
Ring the friend I've been meaning to call for weeks
Post parcel sold on eBay
Feed the dog
Book spa day for me and that friend I've been meaning to call for ages

Book spa day for me and that friend I've been meaning to call for ages

Another good way of using To Do Lists to your advantage is to allocate specific tasks for specific dates. So Monday - pay the phone bill, post eBay parcel, Tuesday - plan blog posts, ring friend I've been meaning to call for weeks. Again this is a way you can prioritise tasks that need to be done sooner. I love creating To do Lists, they're something I use every day to stay organised and motivated.

2. Use your diary/calendar - I use and rely on my calendar and gorgeous Cath Kidston Diary which you can find here ,daily. I find it so helpful for keeping track of appointments, deadlines, and just general daily life. Basically if it's not in my diary then it's not happening! I especially love my Cath Kidston diary because it has a week by week view for the entire year with big spaces allocated for each day and a large section dedicated to making notes, which I find so helpful to make To Do Lists on. It's amazing and I keep on track of my life this way, we're all human so we're bound to forget something whereas your diary or calendar will remind you of things you've got coming up. I use a different diary for my blog, that way I can keep on track of posts that are scheduled for a certain day, and plan ahead as well as stay on top of tasks that need to be done. Using a diary or calendar is a great way of being organised with University too! I couldn't have lived without an academic diary when I was at uni. If you haven't got a diary, invest in one. You won't regret it and you can get them super cheap these days.

3. Get enough sleep - this speaks for itself really. When you've got things to do, and deadlines to meet yet you only had 3 hours sleep last night because you were binge watching Breaking Bad on Netflix #truestory, the last thing you're going to want to do is your uni assignment, or reply to important work emails. Be kind to yourself, get plenty of sleep and you'll feel motivated to do the things you need to do.

4. Give yourself regular breaks - This one is huge for me! If ever I'm working on something, whether it be my blog or something work related, I always give myself regular breaks. I do this by allocating time specifically for working, for example from 6-7pm I'll work on my blog and at 7pm I'll watch something on Netflix for an hour, before working again from 8pm-9pm. This way I stay motivated and don't burn myself out by working too hard without a break in between. This is especially true when I was at uni, often when writing an assignment, I'd work for a few hours on the assignment and then go for a walk with the dog, or have a bowl of ice cream just to take my mind of it and then I'd return feeling refreshed. Honestly this tip works so much, give it a try!

5. Have snacks on the go - this speaks for itself really. The last thing on your mind when you're hungry is working and getting stuff done. Have snacks beside you while you're working, it's so much easier! Have a Malteser every time you write a word, when writing a blog post..or maybe not lol.

6. Stay Inspired- If you aren't inspired to do something, you won't do it. Simple. Pinterest, although it sucks me in, helps me stay inspired whether it be work or blogging wise. Also reading other blogs helps me to stay inspired.  Also, another thing that always helps me to stay inspired is carrying a notebook everywhere with me, that way if I see something that catches my eye I can note it down, if I'm at a meeting and somebody says something that I agree with, I note it down. If you're in a lecture at uni, and you find something useful write it down! Notebooks are perfect for that! If you aren't a notebook person, you could always use the notes section of your phone to quickly note down inspiration! Staying inspired helps you to get stuff done without even realising it. Here are some pretty notebooks that you might want to have a peek at 1,2,3.

7. Make time for yourself, don't make everything about work - This is a big one for me. I lead a really busy life, I work quite a stressful job full time, and I also try my best to blog full time too. It can be really crazy at times and often I end up feeling burnt out, and exhausted. Something I've been doing more recently is making time for myself. It was one of my 2017 goals to have more "me time" that way you don't feel like you're punishing yourself constantly with workload. If work gets too much sometimes, I like to have a bubble bath with lots of Soap & Glory, light some candles and relax. Even though it's important to get stuff done, you simply cannot stay motivated if you're exhausted and working too hard. So make time for yourself.

8. Turn your phone off - This is a huge one too! Have you ever had so much to do, and you really don't want to do it? So you think, oh I'll just check Twitter and see what people are up to, oh can't forget Instagram, oh so that girl is now with him, let's check his profile, oh no way, that's his ex. Oh isn't his exes dog cute. Let's look at her profile and see more pics of her cute dog. OMG so cute. 4 hours later and you end up on a major stalking sesh that has added nothing to your life and you haven't got anything done! My solution for this, although it may be hard, is to turn your phone off completely, or if you can't do that, then at least log out of social media until you've done everything you've got to do that way you get no notifications or distractions!

9- If all else fails, don't beat yourself up - We're only human. Nobody is superhuman and gets everything done, without slipping up every once in a while. Eat that ice cream and watch Gilmore Girls, life is too short. But make yourself a promise that you'll try your best to stay motivated next time! :)

I hope you've found today's tips useful. What are your top tips for staying motivated and getting stuff done?
